How do you all feel about using weight training machines? Do you prefer free weights, machines or both? Most of the time I never use machines, I like free weights better, being somewhat tall some of these machines just feel awkward to me like the ones for my abs. I do however find machines to be a great benefit to me since I suffer from a slipped vertebrae in the back and tendonitis on the right knee. They do make it a bit more comfortable on certain exercises such as the leg press machine and the rowing machine. So for that reason I like them. How about you?

I enjoy using machines but I also mix up my workout with free weights. I find machines put less strain on my body but at times it's very awkward using them. Most of the time I never adjust the seats (and I should) so it feels weird when I sit down to use it.
I'm still learning about all the various machines available and I hope sooner or later I will figure them all out.
